Locomondo – Liubi, Liubi, I Love You versus Loitoma Leva’s Polka

Posted in Music, News, Video by Teo

Is it just me or do you think that the Romania Eurovision 2007 song Liubi, Liubi, I Love You sounds like the old Leva’s Polka Song?

I’m not a musician, but I think these two songs have something in common. I do not say that is a 100% plagiarism, but hmmm…… something will be fishy in… Finland!?

it has a similar base or something like this, but I dont believe it s a copy, but I am not an expert.
the first chords of the song reminded me the firsts chords of “Camisa Negra” De Juanes: http://www.goear.com/listen.php?v=f89c888
But maybe it s i am very bad at music, what do you think?

I think they only have a similar rithm…maybe ´cause both of them are polkas. I´m a Spaniard living in Latvia, and I hear lots af similar songs in every Latvian folk festival I go.
The song´s great, I´ll vote for it in Eurovision.

The base only sounds alike, but otherwise, I can’t tell that they sound somewhat alike even if it hit me in the face. Seriously, they don’t sound that much alike. It’s not even close to plagerism, considering that the Lubi, Lubi, I love you song is in about 6 different languages and it’s not really a polka, and the other one is just in one language, not a variety and it is purely a polka. So, I’m sorry, I don’t know what you’re talking about, and I have a musical ear, those songs don’t relate to each other, and they don’t really have anything in common. Personally, I think it’s cool to hear a song in different languages, so that is why I favor Lubi Lubi I love you the most.
