On August 20, 2006, Cleopatra Stratan, this amazing 3-year-old girl had her first concert (20+ songs) and she’s about to get into Guinness Book as the youngest artist to record an album and have a live concert.
Cleopatra started her first concert saying: “My name is Cleopatra Stratan and even though I am only three years old I am determined to sing you both songs from my album called “La varsta de trei ani” and from my father album called “Amintiri din copilarie”. I will make my debut with this evening.”

I’m proud to sustain the Overheard in Bucharest project initiated by Andreea Retea and her friend, Flavia Zablau.
Overheard in Bucharest is a website similar in many ways with Overheard in New York website. The main subject of the project is to gather pieces of conversations overheard in Bucharest.
In addition to “Overheard in NY”, the Romanian site brings out some innovations. One is the “immigrants” section: “Overheard in the world”. One of the most expected section of the site, by creators as well as by the collaborators is the called “Seen in Bucharest”, section that will gather together pictures of the city.
Bucharest is a town of paradoxes, a mix of people coming from different parts of Romania. The ways of life are so different sometimes that it’s quite interesting to surprise pieces of them. “We try to show the city’s specific colors gave by live conversations, funny, especially when they are drawn out of the context. At a general look, the city seems gray, but small details make Bucharest a mosaic of gestures, lines, and people – a unique place!” said Andreea Retea.
The authors of the site intend to create a network of collaborators ensuring this way the continuity of the project and its success. If you can help this project please contact the authors.

Steaua Bucharest held rival Rapid Bucharest to a 1-1 tie Thursday March 31, 2006 in the first leg of the UEFA Cup quarterfinals. The yesterday match was the first all-Romania game in European club competition.
Banel Nicolita scored for Steaua in the fifth minute, stroking the ball into the net off a pass from Daniel Oprita. Viorel Moldovan tied it in the 50th, tapping in a loose ball after Steaua goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Fernandes failed to hold on to a shot from Emil Dica.
Rapid and Steaua have a nasty history, with rival fans clashing in recent years, but there was no major trouble reported from the stadium.
Steaua Bucharest, the 1986 European Champions Cup winner, would advance to the UEFA Cup semifinals if it holds Rapid to a 0-0 tie in the second leg next Thursday
Match report.
